Voice Movement Therapy (VMT) is a psychosomatic, holistic approach that uses the voice, body and breath as a way to access, explore and express the psyche;  whilst inviting a creative and embodied meeting of the whole, authentic Self.

Embodying Emotions Beyond Words

Rooted in the belief that the body and voice holds deep emotional truths, VMT integrates voice, movement, and breath to help bring emotions out of the mind and into physical expression. By embodying our inner experiences—taking us beyond words—VMT allows us to be moved by our emotions (literally) and rightly feel them, transforming them into artistic expressions that are seen and heard with presence and compassion. This compassionate witnessing creates a shift in how we relate to our inner world, fostering new awareness, healing and integration.

Shadow Work- Exploring Unconscious Material 

Through this process, unconscious material is gently brought into conscious awareness, offering new insight into our emotional patterns, behaviours, gifts and psychological landscape. As this awareness unfolds, we get to 'know thyself' and begin to build new, compassionate relationships with the silenced, hidden, or fragmented parts of ourselves— including the discovery of gifts and talents.

Knowing Yourself

The journey of 'Know Thyself' means starting to identify which parts of you are truly you, and what parts are not. The more we understand and form a healthy relation with ourselves, the more acceptance and inner-peace we will feel, and the better life choices we are able to make as they are coming from the heart, instead of the mind.

Your sense of who you are in this world is the biggest indicator of your future. So diving deep into the Self, getting to know your personas, and meeting the hidden parts of you, is the most priceless gift you could ever give yourself.

Each VMT session is a unique journey, tailored to meet the client exactly where they are. Drawing from multiple therapeutic and creative modalities, the work unfolds in a safe, supportive, and embodied space that nurtures expression, transformation, and personal evolution. Using the voice and breath—natural bridges to the unconscious—VMT helps release stored emotion, access buried creativity, and reconnect with the body's innate wisdom.

VMT honours the healing power of the arts, integrating voice, song, movement, writing, drawing, improvisation, and more to give shape to inner experiences. It is a return to the ancestral, communal roots of human expression—where being seen, heard, and felt becomes a profound gateway to deeper embodiment and authentic connection to self and others.
